Severn Suzuki and “Pè quantu mi vendi” (For how much do you sell me?)
Severn Suzuki. She spoke at the highlight of the “United Nations Conference on Environment and Development” (UNCED) or “Earth Summit” in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. The Climate Change Convention was founded there. It aimed at the reduction of the emission of greenhouse gas, and people hoped that the adverse effects of climate change would be limited.
Severn Suzuki, 13 years old, spoke within 5 minutes such strong words, that we can still hear them. You can find them on the internet here.
I Muvrini uses at the beginning of “Pè quanti mi vendi” (“For how much do you sell me”) a short quote from her. These are the words of her text:
Coming up here today
I have no hidden agenda
I am fighting for my future
Losing my future is not like
Losing elections or a few points on stock market
I am here to speak
A good start of 2013!
“Lichtmond 2″- project in Germany
Next year I Muvrini will travel to Germany for a series of concerts in April. Alain Bernardini has given a very short interview to the German Kulturnews. He says that, although they stand in the tradition of the Corsican traditional sounds, they should not be considered as museum attendants, since they are just too busy with modern music.
The article also mentions the German “Lichtmond”-project. I Muvrini it has also cooperated in it. Here you can listen to 30 seconds of it for free. You can purchase the full album “Lichtmond 2”at the German Amazon-website. If you wish to purchase the song only, it is available in the Itunes store for € 1.29. The song is called “Moments of Joy”. You can find it there if you perform a search on “Lichtmond 2″.
Presentation “Imaginà” in Corsica
If you are staying in Corsica during the Christmas holidays, you may have the opportunity to attend one of the presentation sessions of the “Imaginà”-cd in two Géant supermarkets on the island. This will take place on December 21 in Mezzavia, nearby Ajaccio, and on December 22 in Furiani, nearby Bastia. This will start at 17.30 hr on both days.
Pace Santa in Antwerp
“Pace Santa” is one of the most impressive songs of the last CD “Imaginà”. Last week I Muvrini performed the song in Antwerp as follows:

Already two videos of the concert with the Choristes in Banneux
The concert in Banneux with the Choristes of January 8th was a big success. Almost 3000 tickets have been sold, and for a very good reason, because it was quite a big happening. Hereby I’ll show you already two videos of the concert.
The first video is the opening song of the concert, “Barbara Furtuna”, with a leading role for Loïc Taillebrest.
The second video shows one of the final songs of the concert, “Quì sin’à l’umanità”, with a leading role for Alain. But before he can start to sing there is first the splendid Jacky Locks who directs the game of whose applause will make the most noise: the one from the audience or from the Choristes. What a wonderful man is Jacky Locks!
Soon there will be more videos and photos from this concert on this website
Muvrini with Choristes in south of France
Fortunately I Muvrini will continue their singing with the Choristes for a while. Because later this year they have scheduled another concert, in the south of France, in Saint-Vulbas. On Friday May 25, at 21.00 hr, to be exact. They will then with 200 Choristes participate in the Festival Printemps de Pérouges. This makes sense, because the study of the songs is so much work, and the concerts are so impressive and masterful, that it would be a pity if this would only be for once. Tickets can be ordered here.
