Today I Muvrini have published the start and end date of the Giru, their yearly tour in Corsica, and also two concerts of this tour. They will start on Saturday, August 1st in Folelli, again on the field in front of the bakery Chiaverini. If you would like to know how the concert was there in 2009, click here. On Tuesday, August 10 they will play in Calvi. The Giru will end this year on Friday, August 20. Where exactly is not published yet. Further details will follow of course, but perhaps vacation plans can be made more precise now.
In San Ciprianu a pretty strong wind was blowing during the daytime, but at night with the concert only music was blowing! In the streets of Isula Rossa I suddenly meet Alain Bernardini but I fail to meet Jean-François Bernardini at the exhibition of I Culori d’Umani. Although a part of the crew and the band is quite ill, is the evening a great success. One of the best songs is, in my opinion, “Di Quale Si L’amore” of the cd “Umani”. The text, the meaning of it, is again wonderful, but because of the subtle interweaving of vowels and consonants, I would call it justly “poetic”. In Bonifacio they played it on August 22, 2009 as follows:
